Day 99

We chanced upon this big ol' lonely Spartan Mobile Home while driving down Hwy 17. Being Spartan people, we had to stop and take a closer look; you just don't see these everyday.

More original restored mahogany up on the walls!

Restoring Veneer in 4 easy steps:

Step 1: Using a 'glue knife' pour Titebond wood glue into the crack or bubble and use the glue knife to work it in as far as possible.

Step 2: Use your hands to press out excess glue from crack or bubble.

Step 3: Use water and a clean rag to wipe off ALL remaining excess glue.

Step 4: Clamp the heck out of it!

To repair a missing chunk of veneer, simply cut a piece to fit, glue and clamp as shown above. Once the glue has cured, it will be sanded, stained and polyurethaned to near invisibility.
